ACQUISITIONS & ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST
Located in Manhattan, Pine Management, Inc. is currently seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst to join our team. Pine Management, Inc. is comprised of a seasoned group of real estate professionals with over 80 years of experience as owners and operators of multi-family property. At this time, Pine Management, Inc.’s portfolio consists of 36 properties located throughout New York City. This position is responsible for the preparation of accurate and detailed economic analysis in support of a broad range of real estate investment activities including acquisitions/dispositions, leasing, construction, operations, equity/debt financing, and financial reporting/analysis. The role will involve frequent collaboration with senior leadership.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Acquisitions
- Analyze offering memorandums and perform site inspections for properties that match our investment criteria.
- Underwrite potential acquisitions using Microsoft Excel to create detailed models.
- Coordinate and complete the due diligence process (legal, financial, physical, etc.).
- Prepare investment packages and other documentation detailing the business plan.
- To support underwriting analysis, gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and other market data; maintain such in a database.
Asset Management
- Create and execute the implementation of asset level strategies and operational initiatives aimed at maximizing value for real estate assets.
- Support asset management with oversight of existing investments; including leasing, construction, operations, equity/debt financing, and financial reporting/analysis.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare reports on asset performance, budget variances, and changes to market/property conditions.
- Manage the timely and accurate production of financial statements on both a property and portfolio level.
- Monitor actual performance against projections and propose solutions to align with business objectives.
The right candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or any related field, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Strong knowledge of real estate principles, finance, and accounting.
- Strong financial modeling capabilities using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to draw conclusions from research/data analysis and communicate them effectively.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented professional, who can operate in a fast-paced office.
- Must be a quick-learner with strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- Highly analytical and organized, with extreme attention to detail.
