What You Will Learn: We are looking for a Talent Development Senior Manager to provide human resources center of excellence expertise for the Talent COE. This position provides the opportunity to build in-depth knowledge in HR and the beauty industry. This qualified individual will partner with human resources and the business across L’Oreal USA to develop and lead critical initiatives that align with organizational priorities.
- Takes direct accountability for creation of strategic lifecycle of MT experience and skills development, inclusive of shared goals and rotations to fuel talent pipelines
- Creates and implements LUSA MT learning curriculum in partnership with PDL, linked to core skill development
- Owns frame and criteria for calibration, assessment, and placement strategy of MTs across LUSA leveraging 3Ps, skills, and career principles
- Leads annual benchmarking and establishment of Total Rewards best practices for MT Program
- Partners with MT Advisory Committee of senior business leaders, leveraging business insights to make strategic program decisions & build advocacy for MT program
- Collaborates and influences across HR teams in the US and globally to streamline and establish MT best practices and experience, including international exchange program
- Designs and leads cultural moments that matter for all LUSA MTs, inclusive of L’Oreal orientation, crossboarding learning moments, MT Town Halls, and graduation from MT program
- Manages MT budget for onboarding, upskilling, and alumni initiatives
- Collaborates with Talent COE to align LUSA talent needs to campus recruitment strategy
What We Are Looking For: Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human resources or related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of proven human resources experience or 7+ years of broader HR/business experience
- Demonstrated leadership, communication (written/verbal), negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to build strong work relationships with all levels of the organization. Strong customer service focus. Must display executive maturity and manage emotions during periods of ambiguity, pressure, and uncertainty.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast paced and complex environment. Resourcefulness is key.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with attention to detail, tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Sense of urgency and service orientation with high degree of flexibility and responsiveness.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures with a strong curiosity in HR and understanding of HR disciplines such as change management, organizational design, talent management, training design, employment law, etc.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Some experience with an HRIS tool.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and similar employee management software.
