When does the role start?
As soon as we find the right candidate! We’re not in a hurry, but happy to hire tomorrow should the right person apply for the position.
The role:
The core mission of our Senior Payroll Specialist is to ensure people get paid - both accurately, and on time! When we get it wrong, we fix it - asap. Reporting to the payroll manager, the payroll specialist will be responsible for two bi-weekly payrolls, be a mentor to other payroll specialists, and problem-solve payroll issues as they arrive.
You’ll work on:
- Processing biweekly payrolls, internal and external. They are multi-state, and made up of a combination of exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Playing the role of 2IC to the payroll manager. This involves being a mentor and go-to for other payroll specialists, and supporting upwards to resolve complex payroll challenges.
You should have:
- 5+years of payroll experience
- Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly without losing accuracy
- Ridiculous attention to detail
- Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional outcomes
You’ll stand out if you:
- Have a background working in education and/or a high volume temporary staffing company
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and/or Xero
