We are hiring on behalf of our direct client, a prominent manufacturer and supplier in the
food and beverage industry, seeking an experienced and dynamic
Plant Director. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely with periodic on-site visits to facilities across the Pacific states (WA, CA, NV, OR). Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside these regions. Travel within the designated states will be required to oversee operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure excellence in production and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage plant operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
- Lead plant managers and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food and beverage industry regulations, quality assurance standards, and company policies.
- Manage budgets, oversee resource allocation, and drive cost-effective solutions to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and corporate leadership to support business goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to facilities in WA, CA, NV, and OR to assess operations, address challenges, and engage with local teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in plant operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, regulatory compliance, and quality standards specific to food and beverage production.
- Proven expertise in managing multi-site operations and leading large, diverse teams.
- Proficiency in lean principles, continuous improvement strategies, and operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement strategic improvements.
- Willingness to travel regularly within WA, CA, NV, and OR.
