The IT Technician Interns role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person or by telephone) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required
Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PC/laptop hardware/software issues, including but not limited to Windows 10, Office product line such as Outlook and Excel, VoIP phones, browsers such as IE and Chrome, printers, and audio/video conferencing equipment.
- Microsoft support and administration (O365, Exchange, SharePoint etc.)
- Creation and maintenance of documentation on systems and processes
- Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
- Utilize tools to take care of user needs such as but not limited to: setting up users, resetting accounts and passwords, email setup and configuration, assigning permissions to user accounts
- Utilize help desk ticketing system to answer customer issues, providing support for issues brought to us by either email, phone or walk-ups.
- Collaborate with technology team members to ensure efficient operation of the organizations desktop computing environment.
- Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
- Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Required Experience
Minimum Age Requirement
Individual must be at least 18 years of age
