Position Description
Fulger Transport Inc. is actively seeking to hire a new Business Development Manager to help develop and grow Fulger Transport's presence in the USA. The ideal candidate would be an ambitious transportation sales professional. This individual would be an ambitious self-starter who has an existing book of business and the ability to obtain new clients. This position will require the successful candidate to work closely with the Operation Team and participate in dispatching activities to ensure client needs are met.
The successful candidate will receive a $5,000 bonus after completing three months!
In order to succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need:
- A general understanding of the Logistics and Transportation Industry.
- Strong presentation skills and the drive to achieve sales goals.
- A strong mastery of the core sales skills including Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, and Networking.
The main tasks associated with this position include:
- Manage, develop and maintain client relationships by developing effective ways to transport customers’ freight.
- Working in unison with the Operations Team to meet customers’ needs.
- Building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting and selling LSI services, and maintaining sales goals and objectives.
- Actively lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams preparing RFP, Bid and Proposal documents.
- Various tasks relating to dispatch to ensure drivers are able to satisfy the requirements of clients.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to develop territorial sales strategies, pricing, on-boarding customers and managing the overall customer relationship.
- Update and maintain TMS Software.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure the effective focus upon target customers.
- Cold calling within geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Prepare customer quotations and presentations.
- Provide monthly reporting, projections and targets to the Director of Sales.
- Develop proposals in accordance with clients needs and expectations.
- Manage and evaluate optimum routes and route profitability.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Qualifications
Experience: This individual must have at least 3 years of sales experience and ideally at least 1 year experience within the Transportation Industry.
Education: Highschool diploma is required. A college degree within a business discipline or relevant field will be considered an asset.

This is a Hybrid position with the potential of fully Remote.
The compensation and structure of this position can be tailored to the preferences of the right candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
