Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic NVH and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a motivated and committed Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join the North American HQ HR Team in Troy, Michigan. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote.
The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting the payroll and employee benefit functions companywide in the USA.
Responsibilities of the Payroll & Benefits Administrator:
- Maintains payroll, timekeeping and benefit processes, systems and data to both legal and company requirements, including garnishments, support orders, benefit enrollment, and full cycle of employee payroll inputs, under the guidance and direction of the Payroll Specialist.
- Manages the benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, Qualified Life Event changes COBRA, beneficiary changes, STD/LTD and Life insurance claims, QMCO’s and 401K.
- Supports Annual Open Enrollment process
- Primary contact for payroll and benefit sites and software such as Equifax and benefit sites.
- Responsible for the audit process for benefits within the system.
- Is cross trainined and conducts the centralized payroll processes for all hourly and salary employees according to pay calendars when required.
- Responsible for report creation, maintenance, and distribution for Human Resource and other functions as it relates to payroll and HRIS.
- Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required to support team objectives.
- Adheres to applicable QS9000/TS16949 requirements.
- Required to adhere to safety and environmental (ISO 14001) requirements as established by company policy.

Preferred Skills of the Payroll & Benefits Administrator:
- Three to five years experience in full cycle payroll and payroll administration
- Knowledge of benefit administrations with multiple providers
- Knowledge of full cycle HRIS including reporting
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting and general ledger.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Project and time management skills
- Computer skills – MS Office with strong Excel experience

- Salary range is $63,000 - $70,000. Specific salary is commensurate with experience and factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.
