Additionally, our fuel and convenience division, pharmacy, in-house grocery warehouse and distribution center, in-house Central Bakery, in-house Fresh Foods Commissary, and Tops Cleaners are significant assets to our operations. Coborn’s is hiring an expert Liquor District Manager to support the overall growth of our Liquor Division! In this role, you will not only oversee the daily operations of assigned locations but provide overall direction and support to ensure maximum profitability! You will use your leadership skills to mentor Liquor Manager and their support teams to assure compliance with established sales, guest service, merchandising, and pricing programs, while maximizing personal potential and store objectives!
Additional Duties Include
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies that will ensure operational and financial goal achievement of assigned retail liquor stores. Utilize financial and operational reporting to identify profit opportunities and to mitigate losses so that each liquor store achieves its budgeted targets for sales, margin and gross profit. Continuously assess store performance and partner with Liquor Managers to build action plans to continuously improve. Responsible for overall business results of P&L, productivity, quality, loss control, people and service.
- Drive the company’s guest service philosophies, merchandising, pricing and labor programs at store level to ensure conformity throughout the liquor division. Review store standards during visits and complete the store visit checklist. Document results of visits and share updates with Vice President of Liquor Division.
- Assist each Liquor Manager in the annual forecasting and budgeting process and stay abreast of competitive activities in their respective market.
- Demonstrate strong initiative to support and execute company initiatives. Act as the liaison between the stores and the support center and communicate effectively on pertinent business information to Director of Liquor Operations in a direct, open and transparent manner. Build team spirit and morale by actively seeking and sharing innovative ideas to improve the guest experience, engage employees and ultimately grow sales. Empower Liquor Managers to make decisions that they believe will benefit their store.
- Promote a guest-focused approach to growth by creating and holding Liquor Managers accountable to an atmosphere of enthusiastic personalized guest service. Ensure guest service is given highest priority by greeting each guest, offering to help, proactively sharing knowledge, and thank them with sincere care and concern that exceeds their expectations. Ensure prompt attention is given in responding to guest concerns and properly record and report their requests.
- Develop a culture that engages employees, builds team spirit and morale through recognition, accountability, coaching for talent development, and urgency. Partner with Liquor Managers and Human Resources to anticipate and recognize staffing needs, hire, develop and retain top talent. Train, coach and mentor on how to drive sales through consistent executional excellence of operational standards, in-store promotional excitement, product knowledge and guest service.
