Family Nurse Practitioner – Physician Assistant

Primary Clinic 

About the hospital:

• District hospital with 224 employees
• 18 acute care beds - Acute daily census -1.3
• LTC beds - LTC daily census – 20
• 46,500 outpatient visitsannually
• Home health, hospice services and CPSI- EMRsystem
• CT Scanner, MRI and ultrasound (onsite with variable days)
• 29 Medical Providers on staff, inclusive of specialists, family
• Certificate of Recognition and Achievement | CaliforniaHospital
• CPSI and eClinicalWorks EMR

Scope of the position:

• Clinic is located on campus. This position will work with an established Medical group and support staff – New grads are welcome to apply
• Administers appropriate on-going acute, chronic, and family practice medical care services in the ambulatory care setting for clinic patients, under the direct supervision of the Clinic Medical Director or other staff physicians
• Is not precluded from making house calls hospital rounds, assisting in emergency room, or performing any functions performed by the supervising physician for which the PA or FNP is qualified, and are delegated by the supervising physician
• Concurrently responsible for the development, implementation and on-going evaluation of medical care policies and procedures in conjunction with the Medical Director
• Expectations include an understanding and compliance with all current laws, rules and regulations which govern the practice of PA's and/or FNP's in the state of California
• Works cooperatively with licensed paraprofessional, administrative and support staff to ensure the on-going operation of the Clinic
• May directly supervise healthcare professional and paraprofessional staff
• Document clinical care efficiently and completely
• Provide outstanding “customer” service to each patient / family member
• Reflective of the commitment to excellence and family centered care
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team promoting communication, professionalism and teamwork

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

• Able to obtain a California Physician’s Assistance license or Family Nurse Practitioner license
• Current BLS and DEA certification
• New grads are welcome to apply

Compensation:

• Salary Range: DOE
